Evacuations ordered as Campo Fire grows to 132 acres

Update 6 p.m. — Forward spread has been stopped. Evacuation orders and warnings have just been lifted, per the San Diego Sheriff on X.

Update 3:25 p.m. — Evacuation Orders have been issued for Zones: SDC-2329, SDC-2331, SDC-2330
Evacuation Warnings have been issued for Zones: SDC-2333, SDC-2332, SDC-2407, per the Genasys Evacuation Map.

Golden Acorn Casino is temporary evac. site and will accept small animals. The fire is now 132 acres.

(Campo) – The #Church2Fire is burning in vegetation along the 36800 block of Church Road in Campo. Cal Fire is at the scene. The fire has burned three acres but has potential for extended attack, per Cal Fire.Reported at 2:06 p.m on August 17., by 2:45 it has grown to 20 acres and is burning at moderate rate of spread.
