Fire threatens homes in Dehesa

UPDATE: Fire is 5% contained with forward progress stopped. Evacuation orders remain in place but evacuation warnings have been lifted for these zones: SDC-1780, SDC-1781, SDC-1783, SDC-1861, SDC-1865 and SDC-1944. Air tankers have been released per WatchDuty.
East County Wildfire & Emergency Alerts
(Dehesa/Harbison Canyon) — The Dehesa7Fire that started in the 6100 block of Dehesa Road today in the Sycuan/Harbison Canyon area has prompted evacuation orders and warnings.
It is burning uphill toward Alpine Heights and has burned 93 acres and is spreading at a dangerous rate of spread with structures threatened.

There are evacuation orders for SDC-1867 and SDC-1868. GO NOW.
There are evacuation warnings for SDC-1780, SDC-1781, SDC-1783 and SDC-1861, SDC-1865 and SDC-1944.

There is a temporary evacuation point at the East Lot of Viejas Casino, 5000 Willows Road off Interstate 8 in Alpine.

Dehesa Road is closed between Harbison Canyon Road and Tavern Road.
