Grossmont High School staffer, 19, arrested for sexual relationship with student

August 25, 2026 (El Cajon) – Jayden Joe Lang, 19, a  performance expert on staff at Grossmont High School, was arrested yesterday on 12 felony charges including statutory rape of a minor student.

Lang allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with the student for approximately a month from March to April.  Upon learning of the situation, the Grossmont Union High School District immediately terminated the suspect’s employment. El Cajon Police Department began an investigation in April, according to an ECPD press release.

After a thorough investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect, who is a resident of San Diego.

There are no other known incidents involving this suspect, according to ECPD.
