Missing woman whose trailer was last seen in Potrero has been found in Mexico

(Potrero) — In July 2025, Ganna Kovrizhnykh, a Ukrainian citizen, was reported missing by family members on July 12, 2025 after her car and trailer were found abandoned on private property in Potrero, California while she was on a cross-country trip.

Her Jeep Grand Cherokee and camper/trailer were found abandoned/unattended on private property near the 25000 block of Potrero Park Drive in Potrero, about seven miles north of the United States-Mexico border.

On August 7, 2026, Sheriff’s investigators were able to establish contact with Kovrizhnykh and verified her identity. She is believed to be currently staying in Sinaloa, Mexico, says Sergeant Jacob Klepach.. 

The Sheriff’s Office has notified the Ukrainian Embassy of Kovrizhnykh’s whereabouts.
